Frederick Military Academy Alumni 2K's Privacy Policy

Frederick Military Academy Alumni 2000 v.3, hereafter referred to as FMA2K, values your privacy. This policy statement explains how FMA2K collects information from you and how we use it.

The purpose of storing the information you provide us when you visit this site or fill out forms, is to enable the FMA2K Webmaster and the FMA Alumni Association to maintain a current database of E-mail addresses and other personal information, you may willingly provide. Persons requesting to be added to our mailing list that are not FMA alumni will only have their E-mail information retained. We will not sell, rent, lend or otherwise disclose your information to any other company, group or individual except as stated above. FMA2K will only disclose user information to the proper authorities, when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.  The FMA Alumni Web Site and the FMA Alumni Only Web Site are separate and individual web sites that operate independently of each other; however, this same Privacy Policy applies to both web sites.  We generally DO NOT use "cookies" for either web site to store information about you.  However, should we incorporate certain browser functions as a convenience to our visitors on any page such as "return to previous page" our software may generate a cookie in order to return you to your previous page from your browsers history.  However, we do not keep a record of what those page URLs or sites are.  It is not our purpose to invade your privacy.

What we use your information for:

We count page hits or page views in order to provide the Webmaster with information as to which pages are receiving the most visits and the optimum time for maintenance, but we do so on a statistical level, not on a personal level. These results are only available to the Webmaster and reviewed roughly four times per year.

FMA2K may utilize the "setting a cookie" at some point in the future.  A "cookie" is a small text file that is stored on your computer and would only be used to verify previously registered Alumni with our database of authorized users. If you visit this site from a different computer or you are using a "cookie crushing" program or have your browser set to ignore cookies, you will need to enter your password upon each visit to the Alumni Only areas of the website. Our software does generate a cookie for certain page functions when incorporated such as to return to your previous page. However, we are currently not employing that feature on any of our pages on the public site.  Furthermore, we do not record what your previous or following pages are that you visit after exiting the FMA site and or server.  FMA2K does not control third party cookies nor the content of any web pages other than our own.

Remember that whenever you give out personal information on the Internet, that information can potentially be intercepted in transit. While we endeavor to protect all personal information in our possession, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online and you do so at your own risk. FMA2K does not request credit card or any other financial information as this site does not sell any merchandise nor receive payments on behalf of the FMA Alumni Association, at this time. If you access the FMA2K site from a public computer, such as in a library, it would be prudent to close the browser when finished visiting this site to protect your password. Any changes to these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy will be announced on the What's New page
